What progress did you make since your previous entry?

What me and my team have done this week that we have completed the 3D animation on blender, we had rendered it then placed it on Final cut pro, why we did this was to place the live action content beside the 3D animation we also placed infest and moment to the 3d animation. Then we render the final cut pro file to then i could upload it to Youtube  We had uploaded the 3D ,2D and Stop motion ident.

What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

There was not logistical problem as we had work well as a group and agreed on all of the ident outcome. we has made agreement that one of us should upload all of the idents and should send the embed code to the rest of the group.

What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome them?

The technical challenge that i faces was that when the 3D animation came to render is that the setting when rendering where placed in the wrong formant which was jpeg what this means is that when render it would come out in pictures frame inside of a video file how we solved this is that we went on youtube and sure how to change the render setting to mov file so it would work with final cut pro when it came to editing.

What targets do you aim to achieve before your next entry?

I have nothing to do next we because me and my team have completed the Ident and, uploaded them to Youtube and embedded it to our Blogger, this is our final stage of the post production, as we have completed the idents

What progress did you make since your previous entry?

What i and the team have done is that we have started to edit the stop motion and 2D ident first  we had changed rather then 3D is because the idents would be more quicker to create then the 3D one. as then would would not have to worry about the other ident we haven't created. We had edited the 2d ident on final cut and we had edited the stop motion on Blender editing mode as there was an option that would make the stitching of the picture easier.We have now started the 3D ident we have created the layout of where the animation would be placed . and we have animation the first 3 second of the ident.

What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

We had worked together on editing the ident , as we came together and produced the first cut of the 2D ident and saw if the ident represented the brand of the channel and to see it it was at a professional standard.

What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome them?

The technical challenges that we faced during the editing is that when using Final cut pro when we has place a sound file on timeline of the software when played no sound would have, this was a problem in the setting so we changed it so it would work. Another problem that we faced was using blender we could not rotate the whole screen only the object but soon realised that the user preferences where not to our liking when editing  

What targets do you aim to achieve before your next entry?

What I intent to do for my next entry is to complete the 3D animation on blender and to render it to place onto final cut pro so it can be added with the live action footage. Then i would want to render the final cut pro file into a mov file so it can be uploaded to Youtube so it can be placed onto our bloggers.

What progress did you make since your previous entry?

What i did for this entry is that i and my team have each complete the paper work for each of the ident, this includes the cast list, crew list, call sheets and Budget dents. we have started and we started filming for the 2D and 3D ident , we have completed the process of the Stop motion, we had film all of these ident in one day which was an advantage as this allowed us to go straight into edit when we come back.

What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

This entry me and my team came together to see if our pre-production paper work that we all individual had a task of was done and complete ready for to film. We had meet up on the day ready to film the 2D and 3D ident and we had completed the stop motion  ident.

What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome them?

The technical chaangle we faced was when doing the stop motion as the still camera setting where placed on having a 3:4 ratio of screen as we wanted it to be 16:9 because this would give a more modern and professional look to the ident. what we did to resolve this is that we went into the setting and changed the aspect ration of the screen

What targets do you aim to achieve before your next entry?

For my next entree i wish to log and transfer all my file onto a scratch Disc , so this will   prepare me and my group to edit the ident we, have made a plan to start editing the 3D ident first as this would take the most time to complete.We will be using the 3D software called blender. On the software i would want to create the layout of where the animation would be and would start to add in the font.

What progress did you make since your previous entry?

What I have done this week is that I finished off my storyboards I have colour them in and scan them in and post them onto my Blog. I also have meet up with my group and we have decided to go with Ishmael's logo design for the ident. What we also did this week is that is that we started to do the pre-production of each of the ident we chose.

What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

For this entry me and my group work together and we decided and voted which logo we cold agree on, as out through where similar. we also worked together to work out the production schedules and to see when the team would be arable to file in the time of day. we also worked out and split the work between each other so it would be easier and fast to get the work done before the day of the production

What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome them?

We did not face any technical challenges as we had all of out work that was placed on a word or excel file, a most of the work we did were written work. also all the work we did was group work as if there where to be a problem it would ask each other how to resole this 

What targets do you aim to achieve before your next entry?

What I intend to achieve for my next entry is to complete the pre-production paper work for the ident and then i wish to start filming the 2D, 3D and hopefully the process of Stop motion. This would be the start of the production stage of the idents because we have limited time as this may restrains to get the best quality of the ident.

Production Log 1

What progress did you make since your previous entry?

we have had no previous entry due to this has been the first week of our production of the ident. what we had to do this week was to create a logo to brand the channel name which was "CHA TV ". I also had to come up with 2 suit of ident which was 3 in each. What I also had to do is put the ideas onto a storybook, to create a visual of how it would look like.

What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

There was no logistical challenges faced this week, as we all worked individual on producing and logo and creating ideas for an ident. What we would face in the future is that now everyone in my group want have the availability of the software that we would use for exam the 2D and 3D software.

What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome them?

The technical challenges that I face during this week was not a major problem as I created my logo on a software called adobe photoshop, the problem was when i went to upload the logo to my blogger it didn't come up but soon realised that the file format was not compatible with the website so i changed it to jpeg. 

What targets do you aim to achieve before your next entry?

What I intended to do need week is to fished of the storyboards in colour to show what it would look like, and i will also have a meeting with my group and have a depiction of who's logo we would use in the ident, and what suite ideas we would chose and create from each of our ideas. Then at the end of the week i would want to start the production of the ident.

Logo initial ideas

The typography of the CHA are different to each other why this is because that this connotes that the channel bring in different content to the view as it show them that they have a variety of different shows.

The branding of the logo is that i have simplified the amount of writing/typography of the logo this is shown through the cut of the word TV into the image of the TV. Because of the young audience that this channel is aimed at,are mostly know to remember pictures them words.

The imagery of the  logo is that the penile represent of how the logo was done as it has a sketchy feel to it which reminds us about the school vibe as it tell us that the creativity of the show were originally put on paper and now are shown for the audience liking.

The spices of the TV  connotes that there are untouchable as there are loyal to there creativity as there idea and creativity will never stop and be taking away

The colour of the Logo is seen as Black and White here, what i intent to do is change the colour to a more noticeable colour i have thorough of changing t colour to Dark Blue and light blue as this would represent the colour of the school and would look more noticeable and recognizable. But i would like to go over it with my team to see if they agree or if there  a better colour scheme. 

Ident initial ideas

Ident 1- 3D.a

For this idea of an ident of 3D. Is that there would be a student would be running to school as he/she has just found out there are going to be late on the first day. There phone drops on to the ground and there impact of the phone would then lead tobthe 3D animation of the logo to appear. The logo would appear in the centre of the screen with a large fonte. 

Where this would be shoot would be at the school main entrance as this would denote and tell the audience  that it is the school. The phone will drop as there reach close to the door and the 3D animation would appear on the screen.

The 3D animation would be layered over the live action content. The music of the ident would be cheesy music as there is always that someone that is clumsy and always late to school this would connote the silliness of the show.

Ident 2- 2D.a

This ident idea would be a live action included what would happen is the idea would start of with a establishing shot of the exam hall there would be only one student on the hall doing a paper. Then it would cut closer to him and his face there would a sweat coming doing onto is for head and falling into the exam paper. When the sweats drip hit the paper the wet mark would turn into a the 2D animation of the logo 

This would be shoot in the exam hall after an exam has been finished. only one actor would be used in this ident. This is to show that the channel is a lone wolf  and works and alone to produce and show unqie content. 

The 2D animation will be a part of the live action as it would be formed into on paper when the sweats hit the paper this would be a closed up and then would cut to a bird I view shoot.

Ident 3-Stop Motion.a

This stop motion ident idea would be a student that would be in the gym working out on the treadmill will other around them then there would fall onto the ground and there next shoot would be a replacement of the person would cut up paper. Then there would be a birds eye view shoot of the ground there would be a paper cut up ever where then the paper would start to come together to form one whole picture of the logo of the channel.

It would be shoot in the school gym. The person would have a fall and the people around them won't care. This is to show that there are unique and out of the ordinary as they are not normal there are special. 

The music that would be used would be work out music  this is to enhance the environment and the being of the situation  the channel is in.

Ident 4- 3D.b

In this ident there would be a stop motion that would be mixed in with 3D animation  what the stop.motion would have is that there would be a student that would be alone in the study room he/she would be sat near a computer and in use of it there would be the camera that would start from the door and then motion across to the person and go to the computer screen the 3D animation logo would appear on the screen.

Where we would film this would be in one of the study room. We would want it to be empty this is to show to the audience that the channel get the work done alone and there personally do the work of the shows. This is also related to the students as there produce there work.

The music that would be placed in this ident would be serious as this would show that the Channel does go through serious times. The 3D animation would be placed when the shoot end up on the computer screen.

Ident 5- 2D.b

For the second idea of 2D animation would be a live action for a student that would be in the sports hall with the Indoor football nets up. What would happen is that the person would shoot a football and the net when he shoots the ball he falls but the football would go into the net as he would score when it hit the next the 2D animation would appear big on the screen.

This would be shoot in the main sports hall. We will need to have the crash mats, indoor football nets and the football in this idea. What the fall of the person would connote is that embarrassing feel of earning something with confidence. 

There would be an insert  of the 2D animation on coming in to the idea. The ident would include music that is the world cup song of 2010 this would show that the channel environment  in apart of the world cup.

Ident 6- Stop Motion.b

The second stop motion idea would be a section of a bunch of people that would be sat around the table playing back jack and there would be one of the actor that would be uniquely dressed and would place  card that had the logo of the channel instead of the normal card. This would connote that the channel is unique and does not play by the rules.

Where this would be shoot would be on the table that is in the sixth form black that would be placed outside. There would be student placed around the table to show the social  atmosphere.

There would be a logo that would be printed  out and stuck on a card. There would be music in the background of winners music. Lyrics that would show that the channel is a winner for exam logic (I'm the man of the year)
